Let the game commence.
I’ve never liked waiting for too long. No one does. Especially if it’s for love. I used to wonder why people wait and long for love, when they can use their time waiting for something that’s more worth the cost. Girls wait for their crushes to reply to their texts, in hopes of starting a chapter of romance. But they never expected the truth—how it hurt them deeply and scarred their hearts, leaving a reminder of what waiting for love can do to you.
Girls hopelessly look for comfort in having a partner in life, even for the briefest of time. They read too many fictional romance chapters that they end up in this fantasy, where love is just right around the corner and that all you have to do is wait.
You wait for your boyfriend to get back from wherever he went to, all the while hoping that his loyalty is still intact. You do trust him, but like the previous chapter of this book, doubts just couldn’t resist the opportunity to possibly wreck another chapter that might just be the key to your happiness, so you keep on waiting. For what exactly? For him. For a chapter.
It’s like gambling. You put all your money in and trust this one chapter that you think might just be the one. Then you wait for the result. Waiting has always been the harder part. You can never expect the outcome, and so for now, the anticipation is killing you. Why? Because you’re worried for you heart is on the line. All for a chapter that might just be the key to your happiness.
You keep on waiting, in hopes that he will return with his arms wide open, a big smile on his face and his eyes filled with admiration and love, just for you.
You long for that ending, but sadly for now, all you can do is wait and see how the rest of the chapter unfolds.
Fingers crossed, heart on the line, let the waiting game commence.
