“Do you think this is cute?” Chloe asked Riley and Jess. Chloe and Jess are Riley’s best friend, they have been friends since they were 5. Now, in highschool they started to live together in the apartment. “Just wear something comfortable. We’re only going to the basketball competition to support the boys from our school, it’s not like we’re going to the prom.” Riley said to Chloe. “Yes, but what if there are cute boys? We need to look good!! Get dressed up ladies!” Chloe replied. “Look, I’m not interested at boys at all right now. And no, I won’t fall for them.” Riley declined. Jess agreed with Chloe and wore the cutest jacket she has with a t-shirt and a short skirt. Chloe wore a white shirt with a skirt and a berret. Both Chloe and Jess looked cute but Riley only wore an oversized hoodie with her hat and slippers. Chloe knew she was stubborn so she let her be.
They arrived to their school at 6 pm and the competition starts at 6.30 pm. They went inside and picked their seat. As soon as the game starts Jess and Chloe were screaming and cheering. Meanwhile Riley was only staring at the ball and wanted to go home. “OH MY! JESS LOOK AT THAT GUY, NUMBER 92. HE’S SO CUTE!” Chloe screamed. “ CHLO, I THINK I’M IN LOVE WITH THE GUY NUMBER 95. HE HAS SUCH AN ADORABLE FACE!” Jess replied. Riley was just staring at the ball and suddenly someone caught her attention. It was the guy with number 97. He was her ideal type but she directly remembered that she doesn’t want to date anyone because of her ex. Long story short her boyfriend was so abusive she had to break up with him.
Few hours passed and the game finally finished. They went and got ice cream. Chloe asked Riley “who do you think was cute? There is at least one person who caught your attention!”. “Well, I think the guy with number 97 was pretty cute, but I won’t fall for him!” Riley said. While they were walking there were a group of guys walked pass them. However, a guy bumped to Riley and made her drop her ice cream. She was so mad at him. “Can you walk carefully? I’ve been watching a basketball competition for hours and finally got an ice cream as a reward but you just ruined!” Riley screamed at the guy who dropped her ice cream. It’s actually the guy with the number 97, Luke. Riley noticed that and suddenly left and went home alone. Luke did not apologize because he was speechless. Luke thinks she was cute.
Chloe and Jess were still there, talking to the guys because they noticed there were the guys they admired before in the basketball competition. However, Chloe noticed something from the guy she admired, number 92. She suddenly remembered that he’s her old crush when she was 10. Chloe and the guy with number 92, Max talked together about the past. Max told her that he used to like her and Chloe confessed to him too. They became sudden love birds. Jess was so shy talking to the guy with number 95, Jay. Their conversation was so awkward since Jay was a shy person too, but they were so cute. All of them realized that Luke was flustered but he was blushing and smiling by himself. Max told them that he has never blushed to any girls he talked to or even that asked him out except his ex girlfriend.
In the next day, Riley was going home from school and she suddenly met Luke. Luke directly apologized and asked if she wanted another ice cream. She nodded and went to the convenient together. While Luke was buying her ice cream, he said he was struggling with math and Riley said she could help so she went to his place. She tutored him and when they finished they talked about their past. After that they became close. A day has passed, Luke asked Riley and her friends to eat together at school and agreed. The bell rang, Luke and Riley were the first who arrived at the canteen. They were sitting together since no one has came. Suddenly, Riley’s ex came and was still abusive to her. He wanted to hit her but Luke grabbed his hand and hit him instead. Riley was so sad because of her, Luke got in a fight. After that, Riley’s ex and Luke was called to the office but everything was fine. Since then, they liked each other and they stayed being friends.
