Play rehearsals. One of the best things about school dramas. Why? Because you are equipped with directions and text and you also follow a script, so you know what comes next. That sounds like something Jackie would love. Every year she joins the after school play. Jackie loves acting. That is one of her talents. She likes singing and dancing too. Well, i’m the opposite of her. I don’t like acting. I don’t like singing nor dancing. But i love reading books and write stories. Because of that, i’m always in charge on making stories and write scripts for the after school play. I also write songs for some musical dramas in school. But that doesn’t mean i sing. Jackie and her after school play friends are the ones who sings the songs i wrote.

“ALLIE! COME DOWNSTAIRS!”. “I’ll be there in a second, Jackie!” Everytime Jackie calls me like that, she must be really excited about something. Oh, i forget to mention that we live in the same house. We started living together since we entered highschool. Jackie is holding a package. “Someone just delivered this package. I think it’s from your parents.“ Then I told her “I thought you were about to tell me something about the rehearsals”. “No, Allie. I just like calling you that way”. Jackie handed the package to me. I opened the package and i saw a set of novels, a notebook, some stationaries and an envelope with money and a note in it. The note says “Share this money with Jackie OK sweetie? Love Mom.” My mom sends me money every month and i must share it with Jackie.

After i put my stuff away, Jackie and i went out and bought some groceries. “It’s getting late. We should go back home and get some rest. We’re going to rehearse the new play and i can’t wait!” Jackie shouted at my ear excitedly. “Just remember the lines that i will give to you Jackie. I’m not going to help you if you forget your lines on stage.”. We both laughed as we walked back home. We quickly put the groceries in the fridge and get changed into out unicorn pajamas. Then we went to bed.

“ALLIE! WAKE UP! I MADE YOU BREAKFAST!” Jackie shouted as she woke me up. “Alright, alright i’m up.”. I went to the bathroom and get ready for school. I wore my red, square-patterned blouse, a pair of black jeans and a pair of brown boots. I packed my bags and went downstairs. Jackie made me bacon and eggs for breakfast. After we ate our breakfast, we took the school bus and went to school.

It was a normal day at school. Nothing interesting really happened. Jackie went to the school theater and get ready for the play reahersal. Before i go to the theater, i went to look for Angelica, my partner in writing scripts and songs. We prepared the script for this year’s new play. It’s about a group of friends that are trying to survive highschool.

Angelica has been my partner since middle school. We both have a lot of things in common. We love reading and writting. We like to borrow each other’s books. We are basically best friends since middle school. In the middle of preparing scripts, Angelica’s phone vibrated. It was a text notification from Mr Harry, our drama teacher. He told us to come to the theater as soon as possible because the rehearsal was about to start. After we read that text, we quickly ran to the theater with the scripts in our hands.

We ran to the theater as soon as possible. We arrived 3 minutes later. The theater was quite far from the library we’re at. Mr Harry told us to distribute the script to the students that are chosen for this play. Jackie, Jeremy, Michael, Brooke, Annie and Betty are the group of students who are trying to survive highschool. Rick, Rich, Jake, Jenny and Hannah are the bullies. After we distributed the script, i helped Jackie and her group of friends in the play to rehearse their lines and songs while Angelica helped the group of bullies to rehearse their lines and songs.

3 weeks have passed peacefully. We rehearsed each day. Today is the last day of rehearsals. Why? Because we are going to perform the play tomorrow. Well Jackie is going to perform, not me. Angelica and i are going to handle the stage department.

It’s the day. Everyone hopes for the best. They all performed really well. Angelica and i are pleased by their performance. Everyone loved it. It was the best play that we ever had in school. I’m so happy that i get to be here right now.
