Here, we've accumulated for of the outright most terrifying urban legends of all time and a brief summary of each tale's mysteries that will keep you awake at night!

THE KNIFE IN THE BRIEFCASE

A young woman was walking to her car after a day worth of shopping when she noticed it had a flat tire. After a while of attempting to change the tire, a man with a briefcase approaches her and offered to help. Once a new tire was put in place, the man asked whether or not she’d be willing to help drive him to the other side of the mall, as his car was parked in there. The woman thought not much of it and agreed. After dropping his briefcase in the vehicle, the man excused himself as he needed to use the men’s room quickly. As the woman sat waiting on her seat, she thought of the pile of chores she has at home and proceeded to speed away immediately.

Realizing that she’d forgotten about the man earlier, she eventually drives over to a nearby police station to identify the Good Samaritan and see how she can return his belongings. The officers and the woman proceeded to open his suitcase to search for any form of identification. Instead they found an axe and a duct-tape.

KILLER IN THE BACKSEAT

A young lady was driving back home from a long day of work when she notices a car trailing behind her vehicle; flashing its lights at her every couple of seconds. Terrified, the lady drove faster yet the stranger persisted to follow and flash his lights in her direction. The moment she reaches her house, she gallops out of her car instantaneously. ‘GET OUT FAST AND LOCK THE CAR DOORS RIGHT NOW!’ The stranger hollers to her suddenly. Within seconds, police cars pull up around her.

Apparently, there had been a killer in her backseat. Every time the killer would rise up from the back to stab her, the stranger would flash his lights at him therefore making him slouch back to hide himself from being seen.

THE VANISHING HITCHHIKER

One night, an old man was driving down a hill when he sighted a young girl waving at him from the side of the road, requesting a ride home. Out of concern, he decided to help out. He drove the girl to her house, which was just down the hill. As soon as she got in the house, the man realized how she’d left her shoe in his car, and thus rushes out the vehicle and knocks on her door to return the shoe.

A tired woman in her seventies opened the door and started to tear up upon the sight of the shoe the man held. She claimed to be the girl’s mother, and explained how her daughter had died in a car accident twelve years ago right where the old man had picked her up.

KILLER IN THE WINDOW

One night, a 16 year old girl was sitting all alone at home watching her favorite TV Show. The television was right in front of a sliding glass door and the blinds were open. As she looked up, she saw an old man staring at her through the glass. Frightened, she hid herself under the covers and proceeded to dial the police and remained under the covers until the police arrived.

The police examined the parameters of the house yet failed to find any sort of clue or identification. It was only when they’d entered the house that they realize the footprints leading up to the couch where she was sitting. ‘Miss, you were extremely lucky’, an officer said. ‘Apparently, the man you saw staring at you wasn’t standing outside, but instead right beside you and what you saw was his reflection.’
